Plantars and Dorsals: Muscles for the Feet
By Earl Cook
Whether you are walking, running, jumping, dancing, or simply standing, you are using the muscles of your feet. When the muscles of your feet are inhibited, weakened or not functioning properly, your body attempts to compensate.
Foot pain, ankle pain, knee pain, leg pain and hip pain can all be part of the body’s compensation system. Balancing these muscles is very beneficial for relieving pain and better posture.
In this powerful two-hour live online workshop, you will learn powerful techniques for testing and correcting non-functioning muscles of the feet that are not part of the normal TFH curriculum. Many times, foot pain disappears almost immediately when using these corrections.
A PDF workbook of the technique and illustrations of the feet and related muscles/systems is included. These illustrations were created by Earl Cook, innovator of these techniques and instructor for the class.
Monday, August 8th & Tuesday, August 9th | 9 am – 6 pm
Brain Gym® 26 Movements
By Cindy Goldade
Dive deep into the 26 Brain Gym® activities. Experience them in your body. Gain a better understanding of each movement, the philosophy behind the Brain Gym program, and how this knowledge can support your daily life routine. Open to all.
During this 2-day course, you will:
- Notice changes in your own body before and after each of “the 26” Brain Gym movements
- Identify life events as part of a learning loop or as a stress response
- Learn the language of Educational Kinesiology as it relates to the dimensions of learning (sidedness, stability, locomotion)
- Discover how these movements can support one’s and others’ development of physical skills
This course is filled with simple take-home strategies to support your Touch for Health work, OT and PT therapy, MNRI therapy and more. Early childhood through college educators enjoys supporting their students with these simple movements to reduce anxiety, increase focus and coordinate eyes, ears, hands and whole body for increased academic performance. Requiring no special equipment, people of all ages can benefit from these movements.
“The twenty-six activities, along with a program for “learning through movement” were developed by educator and reading specialist Dr. Paul E. Dennison and his wife and colleague, Gail E. Dennison who say that the interdependence of movement, cognition, and applied learning is the basis of their work.
Clients, teachers, and students have been reporting for over 30 years on the effectiveness of these simple activities. With all the new research into the correlation between brain function and movement, it is clear to see why these movements have worked so well. They often bring about dramatic improvements in areas such as: concentration, focus, memory, academics (reading, writing, math, test taking), physical coordination, relationships, self-responsibility, organization skills and attitude.” Excerpted from www.braingym.com/the-activities/
Your instructor, Cindy Goldade is a pioneer of Brain Gym® 26 Movements course. She helped develop the Movement Facilitator track to allow others to teach the 26 movements. She was also instrumental in creating the policies for bringing it online
Monday, August 8th & Tuesday, August 9th | 10 am – 6 pm

Earl Cook
Earl and his wife, Gail, have been working with Touch for Health since 1976 when a seven-year-old injury of Earl’s was fixed in only minutes using TFH. The couple then wore out four copies of the TFH book due to using it so often in their active lives. Earl began writing the eTouch software in 1988; it first shipped in 2001. It’s now in use in over 85 countries. As TFHA Instructor of the Year, 2016-17, Earl was presented the 2010 IKC John Thie Award in Kyoto, Japan, where he delivered the opening address. He also discovered several innovative techniques, Plantars, and enum, and developed four levels of cloud-based video-on-demand training with students around the world studying 365/24/7.

Joy hosts retreats for a variety of healing modalities for groups through her affiliated organizations: Springhill Atonement Center, and Heartfelt Health Education. In addition to educating her clients about self-care, Joy teaches weekly from A Course in Miracles.
Matthew Thie
Matthew grew up with Touch for Health and Effective Communication, and has been actively teaching TFH for over 20 years. His emphasis is on immediately putting the simple techniques into personal practice and making the concepts and techniques personally meaningful. Matthew worked extensively with TFH Founder, John F. Thie, DC., expanding the TFH Complete Edition, and developing Clinical TFH, TFH Goal-Setting & Metaphors, and other workshops, making TFH balancing more profound, effective, lasting, and meaningful; helping people to enjoy their own unique lives to the fullest.
Although Matthew has always emphasized and encouraged testing and balancing muscles in-person, with a respectful partner, in the last two years, he has found that teaching people to “self-test”, and coaching self-testing and self-balancing over the internet is surprisingly effective and empowering!
Payge Hodapp
Payge Hodapp likes to think of herself as a dragon, collecting treasures of knowledge and experience… as well as, actual treasures in the form of flower essences, crystals, and books. Those experiences include (among others) nursing, nurse-midwifery, teaching (at grade school, high school, and college level), business consulting, and many certifications in complementary therapies (hence the flower essence and crystals…and tuning forks). These days, she enjoys using her treasures while working with individuals and groups, sharing tools and techniques that develop their inner resources, creating balance, empowerment, and choice.
Steve Hansen
Steve has been doing Energy Kinesiology for 26 years, including Touch for Health, Applied Physiology, Neuroenergenic Kinesiology, Kinergetics, SIPS, Kalos and KABS. He founded KABS (Kinesiology Acupressure Balancing System) and has created various classes for KABS and NEK. Steve works at the Institute for Specialized Medicine in San Diego, CA where he works with many patients including those with autoimmune conditions.
Cindy Goldade
Cindy has a Master’s in Education. She homeschooled her three children while learning Touch for Health, Brain Gym®, and reflex modalities. She teaches in the Montessori graduate and early childhood undergraduate programs at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. As International Brain Gym® Faculty she enjoys facilitating courses to a worldwide audience. She has a gift for weaving storytelling with theory and balancing it all with intentional physical activities.
Cindy actively volunteers at 4-H and her church, as well as, for Breakthroughs International. She helped shift to online learning at the onset of the pandemic, assisted in the writing of the Movement Facilitator track, and for the past three years has collaborated on updating the Edu-K In-Depth course manual. Wearing many hats, the lifelong learner is her favorite.
Hannah Shelburne
Hannah Shelburne is a Touch for Health Instructor and Energy Kinesiology Provider. She has been attending trainings and advancing her skills since August 2017. She is passionate about inspiring people to discover what their ideal life is and to take the actionable steps necessary to achieve that vision. Hannah is a single mom to Forest, a fun, life-loving toddler. Together they enjoy hiking and all things outdoors, playing fetch with their dog Shagg and experiencing life’s adventures together.
Terry Webb
Terry Webb was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1947. After completing his schooling, he moved to Johannesburg to work on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, making his way up to being a director of the 5th largest brokerage. He subsequently became an Estate Agent and a Property Valuer.
At the age of 59 he turned to Kinesiology through Touch for Health I -4, and Brain Gym, qualifying as an international trainer. In his practical year, working in a school he noticed that students’ learning patterns could be identified through the infinity sign (lazy8). From this, he developed a program using lazy 8s drawn by students, which identify learning blockages. These challenges can be corrected through exercises and Kinesiology balances. Terry teaches this work in several countries.
Token Plaskett
Practicing for 25 years, Toeken was brought up with TFH & Brain Gym, learning from her mother, Sharon Plaskett, and father, Lee, who is a chiropractor. She works with trauma-related stress or anything people would like. She has taught various health techniques in Switzerland, Germany, Canada, and the US.
Judy Levin
Judy graduated from LA State University in 1963 with a BS in education. She became a teacher in the LA Unified School District for 37 years retiring in 1999. Later, she discovered Touch for Health at a community college. In her first TFH class in 1982, she “was blown away and had to have more.”
After basic TFH classes, she attended the instructor class at Dr. Thie’s clinic in Pasadena. Forty years later, Judy is still intrigued and awed by the simple techniques that do so much. She was very active in TFH helping with the San Diego annual meetings, elected to the TFH Board of Directors serving for 9 years. She has traveled in the US and to Moscow, Russia to teach Touch for Health.
Her dedicated, outstanding teachers were: Dr. John Thie, John Maguire, Jan Cole, Elizabeth and Hap Barhydt, Richard Utt, Frank Mahony, Trevor Savage, Larry, and Arlene Green, Carol Gottesman, Edu K with Paul Dennison, and others.
Amy Hannu
Amy has been using TFH on herself, her family, and clients for 13 years, but grew up seeing a chiropractor who practiced TFH, impacting her and inspiring her to learn all she could about TFH. The more she practices TFH, the more she is amazed at the outcome of each session.
Learning TFH to use in the home was the motive but after taking TFH 1, it was apparent that she couldn’t keep this to her home only so she pursued becoming an Instructor of TFH. Implementing almost everything learned to a TFH session has expanded the way TFH is used and the effectiveness of incorporating the knowledge from classes, books, and webinars.
